Latin Projects For Halloween

I'd like to share two project ideas for Halloween. With my first-year classes we make Greek monster pumpkins and tell stories. With My second-year class we write zombie stories with Latin-speaking zombies storming mount Olympus.

The pumpkin project helps introduce mythological stories with these monsters, and always helps later on as we prepare for the National Latin Exam culture section.

The Zombie stories reinforce knowledge of the Olympian gods and goddesses and give students a change to write creatively in Latin.

Cambridge Latin Pages

Our school has started the Cambridge Latin Course with this year's incoming level 1 students. Follow along with these new pages and contribute your own ideas.

For our upper grades, we continue with Lingua Latina.

All students at all levels are still getting the good old fashioned lessons from Elements of Latin.
